Section II: Eligibility And Participation
ELIGIBILITY
As an hourly paid employee of a contributing employer, you are eligible to participate in the Plan as long as you are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the employer and the union and you complete 300 Hours of Service within a Plan Year. Certain non-bargaining unit employees are also eligible to participate in the Plan, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees. Please contact the Administrative Office to see if you are eligible.
PARTICIPATION
You enter the Plan effective July 1 of the year you become eligible to participate.
Your participation will end when you have a break in service (as explained in the next section) or when you receive any benefits under the Plan.
If you transfer to a position in which you are no longer eligible to participate in this Plan, you become an inactive participant. However, you are always entitled to any Plan benefits in which you are vested.
